Vision and Values

Our School Vision

Our Vision for St Michael in the Hamlet Community Primary School is to provide a welcoming, stimulating environment, where children can develop into confident, independent, lifelong learners.

School Aims

1. Provide an inspiring, varied and creative curriculum, where children will develop skills for the future.

We will do this by:


  • Joining in all lessons.
  • Appreciating teachers and the school.
  • Getting involved in as much as possible including different cultures.


2. Value and encourage strong partnerships between school, parents, and the wider community.

We will do this by:


  • Talking to parents about our school day and school activities.
  • Creating a welcoming school spirit.
  • Inviting parents/carers to celebrate our school.
  • Encouraging parents to join in school activities and events.


3. Provide a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment.

We will do this by:


  • Following rules for our own safety.
  • Supporting and encouraging everyone.
  • Being good role models.
  • Being creative.
  • Trying new things and not be scared to be ambitious.


4. Promote high standards of behaviour.

We will do this by:


  • Having good manners at all times.
  • Leading by example.
  • Respecting others and our school.
  • Being proud of our school and who we are.


5. Encourage children in their own learning and encourage self belief.

We will do this by:


  • Motivating each other and ourselves.
  • Listening to people at all times.
  • Being enthusiastic and happy.
  • Going to bed early.
  • Being positive.
  • Having dreams and ambitions.
