Our Children Care about Climate Change!
Next week we are running a campaign to raise awareness about climate change.
Our class Eco Team reps will talk to their classes about what is happening to the planet and how we can do our bit to make a difference. This builds onto the amazing work started by our Reception children with their ‘Save our Seas‘ campaign.
It would also be brilliant if you could spend time as a family talking about what climate change is and what you could do to help. There are films on line of Greta Thunberg - the Swedish girl who independently started the protests last year.
In school we will have a special climate change assembly with Mrs Richards and the Eco reps and on Friday 15th March the children will have an opportunity to make a peaceful playground protest. It would be fantastic if the children could make banners or posters, preferably on recycled/ reused card, that they could bring to school on the Friday morning. There are some great ideas on line.
If you are passionate about this subject you may like to keep Friday 15th 9-10.30 free as we are planning a family event. More information to follow!
