We had two STEM ambassadors visit us in Year 1; Carlo from LJMU visited to show us some amazing animal skeletons and talked about how to group animals and animal habitats. We also had Val from the NHS to speak to us about how the body works particularly focusing on how to keep our eyes healthy!
Building on our work on Evolution & Inheritance, Carlo Meloro (LJMU lecturer in Vertebrate Paleoecology & STEM Ambassador) came to visit Year 6 with some amazing fossils and skeletons. The children had the opportunity to look at a wide range of fossils and bones; from trilobites to primitive human beings.
Thank you Carlo, for giving us your time and for sharing your fabulous fossils with us!
