To celebrate all we have learnt and enjoyed during our space topic, we held a space day. Children came into school dressed as astronauts, aliens and even the entire Solar System!
At the end of the day, it was time for another Reading Café, when we invite families to come along and read with their children and see some of the new pictures, photos and work that is on display in class.
We took lots of photos during space day. Some were taken by the children and some by the teachers. In computing this term we have been learning that we need to ask if people are happy before we take photos, and we remembered to do that. On Safer Internet day we learnt about being kind on line, so we checked that we only put photos on our website of children whose families had given permission. It’s all part of keeping ourselves and our friends safe.
Thank you to everyone for taking part; it’s been a brilliant topic. Will there be any St Michael’s astronauts in space in the future?
