Whats happening in the nursery?
During the Spring Term we have been thinking about ‘People who Help Us!’
We have had some very interesting visitors in our nursery. Elise’s daddy is a policeman and he brought his car to school and let us sit in it.
We looked at Donnie’s uniform and found one of our own that was similar.
I’m not sure these four would be welcome in the Police Force!
Heidi’s daddy is a doctor and he showed us equipment that he uses in his surgery.
He had lots of patients and doctors to help him.
We really enjoyed finding out how to examine a patient.
Joseph’s mummy is an Occupational therapist and she helps people get better after an operation. She showed us how our skeleton works and let us borrow her crutches and a walking stick to play with.
The children listened very carefully to her instructions as to how we needed to use the walking stick.
This man is a friend of Mr Edwards our caretaker, he came into school to mend a sign.
He told us he is an electrician and he does lots of jobs with the electricity including the light switches.
Valentina is a STEM Ambassador. She is doing a research project about illness.
Valentina brought in lots of sort toys that were blood cells, germs and nerves. We learned about how our body can get ill and how it can get well again.
