School Clubs’ News

We have had another great year with our after school clubs. Thank you to all staff for their support and to all pupils for their participation and excellent behaviour. We had a large number of pupils receiving awards with The Children’s University - 66 graduations this year !

86% of our KS1 and KS2 pupils attended an after school club during 2016-2017. Next year we aim to raise this number. We have identified pupils who have not attended clubs this year and will be targeting them next year.

To ensure all pupils receive equality of opportunity we have planned specific sports clubs across the six year groups. Each year group will get 3 sports clubs specifically for their year group and they will include a wider range of activities- hockey, indoor cricket, gymnastics, netball, handball and dodgeball. This will build on the skills developed last year in multisports. To see which clubs will be available for each year group, and when, please refer to the Clubs Map.

Thank you for collecting your children promptly after clubs and for all your support this year. We look forward to seeing our pupils enjoying more extended schools activities next year.

Mrs Sayer, Extended Schools Manager.
