Combating Childhood Obesity

The British Heart Foundation has lots of good ideas for ways to increase activity levels and help our children be healthier. The current guidelines say young children need three hours of physical activity every day. We’ve put up the posters to promote this on our doors to show the children that Every Movement Counts. You can download your own copy of the poster at

All our children have a PE session every week, as well as lots of time to be active outside every day. But we need you to be involved too, to build those healthy foundations that will last for a lifetime.

If you are worried about your child’s health, our school nurse holds informal, drop-in sessions. Please ask for the date of the next one.
